THE TEDDYBEARBAITERS are
our troupe of actors that perform a totally improvised show for kids! We make it
as up as we go along! Every show is different because every audience is. We use
their suggestions
to make our show and sometimes they come on stage and join our show!
THE TEDDYBEARBAITERS will perform every Saturday starting
this fall in our new theatre. Check back here, call or email us to join our mailing list.
Kidding Around At Our New Playhouse!
BROOKLYN, NEW YORK - The Waterloo Bridge Playhouse is proud
to announce the Brooklyn return of our troupe dedicated to presenting
theatre for children: THE TEDDYBEARBAITERS. Our premiere performance
will be Saturday November 15th at 11 am and will continue each week
at that time.
THE TEDDYBEARBAITERS present a completely improvised show aimed
not just to entertain, but to include our young audience with our
performance.
Directed and conceived by J. Brandon Hill, the show takes
interactive family theatre to the ultimate level. This continues
The Waterloo Bridge mission of bridging the gap between those who
come to see theatre and those who make it by tearing down the
“fourth wall” and sharing the show with the audience.
A mind reader, a professor with three heads and reenactments of
an audience member’s vacation are some of the magic that takes place.
It is our goal to plant the seed of theatre going to the audience of
the future. In order to reach out to those to whom financial
considerations are a barrier we have made our ticket prices
extraordinarily reasonable.
The brand new Waterloo Bridge Playhouse is an intimate 28 seat
theatre where the audience surrounds the stage on three sides.
Since each seat is a front row seat, the spectators are not just
watching a given a production, but becoming a participant with
their energy, reactions and proximity to the players.
The Waterloo Bridge Playhouse is located at 475 Third Avenue {just off 10th Street}
in Park Slope, Brooklyn. To get there take the F, M, N & R trains to 4th Ave-9th Street. Tickets are $5. For information and to make reservations to not just see a show, but join in the fun call 212.502.0796.
THE NEW YORK RESIDENT called us "Pure Delight. . .a highly interactive, completely improvisational theatre group
that holds surprises and shows imagination without a script".
BIG APPLE PARENT MAGAZINE called us "A truly unique theatre experience. The actors are able to riff on just about anything thrown their
way {to} offer an unscripted show that changes every week."
